Studied in boarding, left school after failing in 12th
Umesh Ganpat is a resident of Mahiravani, a small village near Trimbakeshwar in Nashik district of Maharashtra. Most of the people of his village do farming and rear animals and sell milk. His father also used to earn his living by selling milk. In 2001, Umesh studied in a boarding school. He had passed 10th but failed in English in 12th. Frustrated with this, he left boarding school.
Worked with father to sell milk and work in the fields
This was a big shock for Umesh. After leaving school, he started helping his father in milk farming and farming. He used to collect milk from the village every day and go to Nashik market to sell it. Apart from this, he also worked in the fields and carried goods.
One decision became a turning point, passed 12th in 2005
On his way to Nashik, he would see children studying in a university. From here he decided to change his fortunes. He studied at Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. admission Took. Passed 12th in 2005. After this he did BA, BEd and MA from Pune University.
UPSC preparation from Delhi, success in third attempt
later on UPSC preparation Reached Delhi for. Umesh had given UPSC exam in 2012 and 2013 and had failed both the times. However, he did not stop and in 2014 he got success in the third attempt and achieved All India Rank 704.
