UP Board 10th, 12th Exam 2026 Rules: UP Board 10th-12th examination is going to start from 18th February. The examinations of both the classes will end together on March 12. This year, more than 52 lakh students can appear in the UP Board exam. Of these, 27.50 lakh students are expected to appear in the high school and 24.79 lakh students are expected to appear in the intermediate board examination. There is a good news for the candidates. This time, students who have forgotten the admit card can also appear in the exam.

What is the rule on forgetting admit card?

Yes, Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has given big relief to the high school and intermediate candidates. According to a report in Times of India, students who forget to take the admit card to the exam center in a hurry can also be given a chance to appear in the board exam. However, there are conditions – it will depend on the teacher or examiner of the exam center whether they give permission to appear in the exam without admit card or not. The exam center administrator can grant permission to students to appear in the examination on a provisional basis. Students will have to show the admit card or its duplicate for the next paper or as soon as possible. Keep in mind that admit card is an important document. If you want to give the exam without any hassle then students should not forget to carry the admit card to the exam centre.

30 minutes grace time for students coming late

The board has also allowed entry to students who reach the exam center late. Students coming late have been given 30 minutes grace time, provided they give a valid reason.

If there is a mistake on the admit card, you will still be able to give the exam

Students will not be automatically disqualified if there is any mistake in name, gender or identity information on the admit card. Cross-verification will be done with other documents of such students.

Exemption to disabled students

Disabled students will get 20 minutes extra time, and if the center is in a multi-storey building, seating arrangements will be made for them on the ground floor. Meanwhile, teachers of government and aided schools have been given 20 necessary duty shifts to conduct the exam properly.

What to do if admit card is lost?

If a student’s admit card is lost during the UP Board examination, then he should immediately inform the school about it. So that a duplicate admit card can be obtained from the school. Only school heads will issue duplicate admit cards. Keep in mind that there will be strict scrutiny and monitoring in board exams. Therefore, students must take school ID or any other photo ID like Aadhar to the exam center along with the admit card. Report to the exam center at least one hour before the commencement of the exam.
