Guidelines issued regarding board exam copies
Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has issued instructions to conduct the 10th and 12th board examinations of 2026 in a safe environment. In a communication sent to the District School Inspectors in the state, the Board has directed to follow the procedure related to handling and evaluation of copies. During the examination, the room invigilator will also ensure whether the students have written the roll number and copy number correctly or not. At the same time, students are not allowed to write their name or identity anywhere inside the copy.
Keeping money in notebook is indiscipline, action will be taken
According to UPMSP, all the examination centers have been instructed to inform the students in advance that keeping currency or any other thing inside the answer sheet is indiscipline. In the past too, such cases have come to light where candidates were keeping money (currency notes) in their notebooks due to misunderstanding or ignorance. If any currency is found during collection or evaluation, it will be considered use of unfair means. In such cases, action will be taken under the Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024. As per the rules, the recovered currency will have to be deposited in the treasury, and the incident will have to be immediately reported to the District School Inspector for further action.
