Academic and research options after UGC NET
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
If you want to go into academics and research after UGC NET, then Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is the best option. If your cut-off matches with JRF cut-off then you can become Junior Research Fellow. Along with PhD, you can get a monthly stipend of around Rs 37000, earlier it was Rs 31000. This financial assistance can be of great help in PhD or other research.
Senior Research Fellowship (SRF)
After JRF, there is a chance to get Senior Research Fellowship. After two years of JRF, the government gives up to Rs 42,000 per month to Senior Research Fellows for the next three years. However, before 2023 this amount was Rs 35000.
Contingency Grant
