Vande Mataram Lyrics in Hindi: The national song of India is Vande Mataram. Poet and novelist Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay wrote Vande Mataram. The song Vande Mataram was composed on 7 November 1876 in a village named Kantal Pada in Bengal. Vande Mataram was sung for the first time in 1896 at the Calcutta session of the Congress. That means about 51 years before India got independence. This song played a big role in India’s freedom struggle. Worked to inspire people to fight for freedom. This was a voice of protest for the British. The work of composing Vande Mataram was done by Rabindranath Tagore, of which every Indian is proud.

The Central Government has issued necessary guidelines regarding singing and playing of ‘Vande Mataram’. Now it will be mandatory to play or sing the six-interlude version of Vande Matarat on official programs. This should be the fixed time i.e. 3 minutes 10 seconds.
