1. EXILE ACT

Florida Congressman Greg Steube introduced a bill in the House of Representatives to eliminate the H-1B visa. The name of this bill is ‘Ending Exploitative Imported Labor Exemption Act’ or EXILE Act. It has been proposed that changes should be made in the ‘Immigration and Nationality Act’. If this happens, then H-1B visas for fiscal year 2027 will become zero. 2. PAUSE ACT

In November 2025, Republican Congressman Chip Roy (Texas) proposed banning all immigration. PAUSE stands for ‘Pausing on Admission Until Security Assured’.
