How are seats distributed?
The distribution of seats in IIT Kanpur is according to the policy of the Government of India. There are seats according to different courses for GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST. Apart from candidates of all categories, there are additional seats (Female Supernumerary) separate for girl students.
