About 18 thousand units of Creta were sold
Hyundai Motor India Limited’s sleek midsize SUV Creta was the top selling model in the month of January and its 17,921 units were sold. However, Creta sales saw a 3 percent year-on-year decline last month, as 18,522 units of this SUV were sold in January 2025.
Venue sales increased by 12 percent
Hyundai Motor India’s second best selling car in January was Venue and it was purchased by 12,413 customers. The new updated model of Venue is making the customers crazy with its modern look-features and that is why the sales of this sub-4 meter compact SUV have seen an annual growth of 12 percent. In January last year, 11,106 units of Hyundai Venue were sold.
48% growth in demand for Aura
In the month of January, Hyundai’s compact sedan Aura saw a tremendous increase of 48 percent in sales and it was purchased by 7,978 customers. In January last year, 5,388 units of Hyundai Aura were sold.
Increase in sales of Hyundai’s most affordable car
The sales of Hyundai Motor India’s entry level car Grand i10 Nios in the Indian market saw an annual increase of 45 percent in the month of January and this hatchback was purchased by 7,710 customers. This affordable car from Hyundai had sold 5,311 units in January last year.
i20 sales also on the rise
Hyundai Motor India’s premium hatchback i20 sold 5,677 units in January last year and this figure is an annual increase of 20 percent. A year ago, i.e. in January 2025, 4,741 units were sold.
Exter sales declined
In January 2026, Hyundai Motor Exeter was the company’s sixth best-selling car and was purchased by 5,621 customers. Sales of this small SUV from Hyundai showed an annual decline of 7 percent last month. Hyundai Exeter sold 6,068 units in January last year.
27 percent decline in Alcazar sales
Hyundai Motor India’s midsize SUV Alcazar sold 962 units in January and this figure is a decline of 27 percent year-on-year. In January last year, 1,310 units of Hyundai Alcazar were sold.
44 percent decline in demand for Verna
In January 2026, 823 units of Hyundai Motor India’s popular midsize sedan Verna were sold and this number is a yearly decline of 44 percent. Hyundai Verna sold 1477 units in January last year.
Only two units of Ioniq 5 sold
Hyundai Motor India’s premium electric SUV Ioniq 5 sold only two units in January 2026 and this figure is an annual decline of 88 percent. Its 16 units were sold in January last year.
Tucson and Kona did not get a single customer
In January 2026, not a single unit of Hyundai Motor India’s premium SUV Tucson and midsize electric SUV Kona was sold. One more thing is that both these vehicles have been delisted, i.e. removed, from the Hyundai India site. Let us tell you here that Hyundai is going to launch more vehicles in the coming time.
