What did CBSE say about CTET exam cancellation?
CBSE has officially confirmed the ruckus and cancellation of Paper-2 by the candidates at two examination centers in Bihar on its official CBSE wrote in the post, ‘Out of 1803 examination centers of CTET across the country, Paper – 2 examination has been successfully conducted at 1801 examination centres. However, due to some unavoidable reasons, the examination of Paper – 2 could not be conducted at 02 centers (125016 – St. John Academy, Basmati Nagar and 125014 – Lakshya International Academy) of Vaishali (Hajipur).’
When will the new exam date of CTET Cancel Paper-2 come?
The postponed examination will be conducted within 15 days at 02 centers of Vaishali (Hajipur). CBSE said that the revised schedule of the examination will be informed to the concerned candidates separately. The board wrote in the post, ‘Re-examination of the candidates allotted at these 02 centers will be conducted within 15 days. We regret the inconvenience caused to these candidates. Candidates appointed at the two affected centers in Vaishali will now wait for the new dates. CBSE has assured that the revised schedule will be communicated to them directly soon.
More than 25 lakh candidates registered
Actually, Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 is being conducted for more than 25 lakh candidates across the country. The Teacher Eligibility Test is being conducted in pen and paper mode on February 7 and 8 in 132 cities. Although earlier the examination was to be conducted only in one day on February 8, but after receiving more than 25 lakh registrations, the examination is being conducted in two days.
Strictness in CTET exam
CTET exam is being conducted by CBSE in two shifts. Paper 1 (for candidates wishing to teach classes 1 to 5): 9:30 am to 12 noon and Paper 2 (for candidates wishing to teach classes 6 to 8): 2:30 pm to 5 pm. The board has taken strict action as per the rules regarding reporting time at the exam centre. Paper-1 reporting time was 7:30 am, and the gates were closed at 9:30 sharp. Similarly, Paper-2 reporting time was 12:30 pm, and the entry gates were closed at 2:30 pm.
Let us tell you that CTET admit cards were released on 5th February. On the admit card, information about the exam date and time, reporting time, name and address of the exam centre, candidate’s details etc. along with the necessary guidelines for the examination is also given.
