On Wednesday, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood launched the admission brochure of UG, PG and PhD at India International Centre. Referring to the education budget and Narela Education Hub, he said that in the first budget we had given Rs 500 crore, but considering the needs, the Delhi government reduced it to Rs 1300 crore. This is an investment to make Delhi an intellectual capital. The government is moving forward with vision, confidence and full commitment to investment.
More than 42 thousand seats in IP University
Vice Chancellor of IP University, Prof. Mahesh Verma said that this year we will take admission in 37419 UG, 5316 PG and PhD courses in 22 branches. Also there are supernumerary seats for international students, currently we have students from 32 countries, mostly from African countries and SAARC countries. 85% seats are reserved for residents of Delhi. Admission to many courses will be based on national level entrance scores like CAT, NEET, CLAT, NIMCET, CEED, CMAT scores. At the same time, IP Common Entrance Test (CET) will be held for many courses in April-May. For some courses, we have included multiple entrance modes instead of one or two, like we will fill B.Tech seats through CUET also. On fees, he said that as per the fixed rules, the fees will increase by 5%, this is for university courses, for the remaining 90% seats, the Delhi government decides the fees. The registration fee will remain only Rs 2500.
