15 leading tech companies from 10 countries have joined hands to establish trust and high standards across global boundaries in technology. These leading companies from Africa, Asia, Europe and North America have announced the formation of the Trusted Tech Alliance (TTA). Jio Platforms from India joins this group of like-minded global technology providers.
The TTA, announced during the Munich Security Conference in Germany, aims to develop trusted and verified standards for a technology stack spanning connectivity, cloud infrastructure, semiconductors, software and artificial intelligence. Its founding members include 15 companies including Amazon, Web Services, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Ericsson, Nokia, SAP and NTT.
Mutual cooperation is necessary for a secure structure
Brad Smith, Vice Chairman and President of Microsoft, said that in the current global environment, it is important for like-minded companies to come together to maintain trust and high standards in technology across borders. Ericsson CEO Borye Ekholm said that no single company or country can create a secure and reliable digital infrastructure alone, for this global cooperation is essential.
TTA will work on five main principles
Under TTA, member companies have agreed to five key principles. These include transparent corporate governance and ethical conduct, safe development processes and independent evaluation, strong supply chains and safety monitoring.
