Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has presented an amendment to the Industrial Relations Code 2020 in Parliament. He said in the Lok Sabha that the Industrial Relations Code, 2020 was passed by the Parliament on September 28, 2020. Before the coming into force of this Code, the Trade Union Act, 1926; Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946; And the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 were in effect. This new code was brought in an integrated form by incorporating these three old laws.

He said that with the implementation of the new code, the government got the right to repeal these earlier acts and the government has also repealed them. Now the objective is to make a small amendment in this regard, so that this provision clearly becomes part of the Act and there is no legal ambiguity. He requested the House to accept and pass this amendment, so that the position of the law can be completely clear.
