After a year long negotiations between the US and India, a trade agreement has finally been sealed. At present the terms of this trade deal have not been revealed. That is, it is not clear how America is going to provide relief from tariffs and to which sector. However, it is clear that out of the total 50 percent tariff imposed on India, 25 percent tariff, which was imposed on India in lieu of buying oil from Russia, has now been removed. On the other hand, the 25 percent import duty imposed to reduce the trade deficit has also now been brought down to 18 percent.
