Why is Mini Duster coming?
Renault’s current compact SUV Kiger was not as successful in the market as the company had expected. Now the company wants to bring a new vehicle which is stronger, wider and taller in appearance. Indian customers like rough and tough looking vehicles, and this Mini Duster will fulfill this demand of the customers.
Design and platform
Look – Its design can be as powerful as the Duster.
Strong Platform – This new upcoming SUV from Renault will be based on the same platform (CMF-B) on which the new Duster is built.
more space – The Mini Duster will be longer and wider than the current Kiger, which will provide more space for passengers and luggage (boot space) inside the vehicle.
Engine and Power
Talking about the engine, Renault can offer it only with a 1.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine with both manual and automatic transmission options. Considering the increasing demand for CNG in the market, the company can also offer the option of company-fitted CNG with this engine.
Premium Features
To compete with vehicles like Nexon and Venue, Renault can provide many modern features in it. The car can offer ventilated seats and panoramic sunroof. The safety of the car will also be taken care of. The company can provide safety features like Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) in it.
price and competition
Renault will manufacture this vehicle exclusively in India and will export it to other countries as well. Due to manufacturing being done in the country itself, its price can also be quite affordable. Its expected ex-showroom price could start from Rs 8 lakh. This vehicle may hit the market in early 2028. In the market, this car will compete directly with vehicles like Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Ciros and Skoda Kylak.
