More than 18.52 lakh two-wheelers were sold in January 2026
In the month of January 2026, 18,52,870 bikes and scooters were sold in the Indian market and this figure is a monthly increase of 40.70 percent and an annual increase of about 21 percent. 13,16,891 bike-scooters were sold in the Indian market in December 2025 and 15,33,556 two-wheelers were sold in January 2025. In our country, motorcycles and scooters of other companies including Hero MotoCorp, Honda, TVS, Bajaj, Suzuki, Royal Enfield, Yamaha are sold more.
5.13 lakh cars sold last month
A total of 5,13,475 cars were sold in the Indian market in January 2026 and this figure is with a monthly growth of 35 percent and annual growth of 7 percent. Last December 2025, 3,79,671 units of cars were sold and in January 2025, 4,78,915 cars were sold. In India, cars of companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Toyota, Kia, MG, Skoda, Volkswagen, Nissan, Renault, Citroen and others are sold well.
1.27 lakh three-wheelers sold in January 2026
1,27,134 3-wheelers were sold in the Indian market in January 2026. These included 44,456 vehicles of e-rickshaw segment, 7656 units of e-rickshaw cart, 14,199 units of three-wheeler goods, 60,701 units of passenger 3-wheeler and 122 units of personal 3-wheeler were sold. Last January, the sales of 3-wheelers showed an annual growth of about 19 percent. At the same time, monthly sales decreased by 0.50 percent.
Tremendous annual growth in tractor sales
Let us tell you that 1,14,759 tractors were sold in the Indian market in January 2026 and this is with an annual growth of 22.89 percent. At the same time, monthly sales of tractors decreased by 2.21 percent. 1,15,001 units were sold in December 2025 and 93,386 tractors were sold in January 2025.
Sales of commercial vehicles and CE
In January 2026, 6834 CE segment vehicles were sold in the Indian market. Whereas, 1,07,486 vehicles of commercial vehicle segment were sold. CV sales showed a monthly growth of 28 percent and 15 percent year-on-year growth. 83,666 units of commercial vehicles were sold in December 2025 and 93,410 units were sold in January 2025.
