Mahindra Scorpio series SUV stood at the first place, whose 15,542 units were sold. The most interesting figure is that there has been an annual increase of more than 77 percent in the sales of Thar series SUV, as only 7557 units were sold in January last year.

There has also been a tremendous monthly increase in the sales of Thar and Thar Rocks, which is about 44 percent. Only 9339 units were sold in December 2025. In the first month of 2026, Mahindra Thar overtook the company’s popular SUVs like Bolero, XUV 7XO, XUV 3XO, XEV 9E, BE6, XEV 9S and XUV 400 by a huge margin.

At the same time, the ex-showroom price of Mahindra Thar ROXX starts from Rs 12.39 lakh and goes up to Rs 22.25 lakh. Thar of compact segment is 3 door model and Thar Rocks of midsize segment is 5 door model. Petrol and diesel engine options are available in both the SUVs, which are good in terms of power and performance. Mahindra has introduced Thar and Thar Rocks in rear wheel drive and 4-wheel drive options. After all, the powerful looking Thar series SUVs are also good in terms of features and that is why their demand is very high.
