Car number sold for Rs 2 crore
Big Boy Toyz (BBT), the famous showroom of luxury used cars, has recently started its new venture Auction House. This is the first such platform in India where expensive and rare things will be auctioned. In its very first event, this auction house made a record which surprised everyone. In this auction, DDC 001 number plate was sold for Rs 2 crore.
India’s most expensive number plate DDC 001
The sale of vintage number plate DDC 001 caught everyone’s attention in this auction. This number plate was sold for ₹2.08 crore. Kiran Kolpakula, a resident of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, bought this number by making a historic bid. This has become the most expensive number plate sold so far in the history of India. Earlier this number was with BBT owner Jatin Ahuja. Earlier, India’s most expensive number plate was KL 07 DG 0007, which was bought by a businessman for ₹ 46 lakh for his Lamborghini car.
What else is available in the auction?
Not only number plates, cars and expensive watches of celebrities are also available for sale in this auction house. Cricketer Dinesh Karthik’s Range Rover Sport, Shilpa Shetty’s Mercedes Maybach GLS 600 and director Rohit Shetty’s Mercedes-Benz CLA are also part of the auction. Expensive watches of brands like Rolex and Hublot are also being sold. Along with this, VIP numbers as well as special mobile numbers (like 999999999X) are also available in the auction.
A number was sold for crores in Haryana also
Some time ago in Haryana also a number HR 88 B 8888 was sold for crores. A person had bid ₹1.17 crore for these numbers. However, the person was not able to deposit the full amount to transfer the number to his name, due to which the auction was cancelled. At that time this matter was much discussed. Taking cognizance of this, the Haryana government had also ordered a financial investigation of that person.
