Hyundai Creta in first place
Hyundai Creta was the best selling midsize SUV in the month of January and it was purchased by 17,921 customers. Creta sales last month saw a 3 percent year-on-year decline as 18,522 units were sold in January 2026.
Mahindra Scorpio
Mahindra & Mahindra sells two models of its top selling SUV Scorpio, which are Scorpio-N and Scorpio Classic. A combined 15,542 units of these two midsize SUVs were sold in the month of January last and this number is with an annual growth of one percent as compared to 15,442 units in January 2025.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris in third place
Maruti Suzuki’s recently launched midsize SUV Victoris sold a total of 15,240 units in the month of January and this figure is a huge increase on a monthly basis.
Huge increase in sales of Kia Seltos at fourth position
Kia India has recently launched the updated models of Seltos and after this there has been a tremendous increase in the sales of the new Seltos. Last January, 10,639 units of Kia Seltos were sold and this figure shows an annual increase of 64 percent. Only 6,470 units of Seltos were sold in January last year.
Mahindra XUV 7XO at fifth place
Mahindra launched the facelift model of XUV700 as XUV7XO last month and 10,133 units of this SUV were sold in January itself. This shows that this desi SUV is making the customers crazy with its better looks and features.
Toyota Hyrider at number six
Last January, 9,156 units of Toyota’s popular midsize SUV Hyrider were sold and this figure is an annual increase of 85 percent. In January last year, 4,941 units of Hyrider were sold.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara at seventh place
Maruti Suzuki’s midsize SUV Grand Vitara got 7,030 customers in the Indian market last month and this figure shows a year-on-year decline of 55 percent. In January last year, 15,784 units of Grand Vitara were sold.
Tata Sierra reached number 8, created a stir in the first month itself
In the month of January, 7,003 units of Tata Sierra were sold and this dashing midsize SUV of Tata Motors has proved that it has come to create a stir in the market.
Tata Harrier at number 9
Tata Motors’ midsize SUV Harrier saw an annual growth of 149 percent in sales in the month of January and it was purchased by 3,711 customers. Tata Harrier sold 1,488 units in January last year.
Tata Safari at 10th place
Tata Motors’ popular 7 seater SUV Safari sold 2,375 units in the month of January and this figure is an annual increase of 53 percent. Only 1,548 units of Tata Safari were sold in January 2025. Harrier and Safari have also recently been introduced in petrol option.
