Mahindra and Maruti dominate the top 5
Maruti Ertiga – As always, this car remains at number-1. It proved to be the best selling car in January 2026. Its 17,892 units were sold in January 2026, which is 26% more than last year (January 2025).Mahindra Scorpio – In January 2026, this car stood at second position with 15,542 units. There has been an increase of 1% in its sales as compared to January 2025 last year, when 15,442 units were sold. Soon the company is also going to launch an updated model of Scorpio-N.
Mahindra Bolero – There has been a huge surge in the demand for Mahindra Bolero. Its sales have increased by 36% from January 2025 to 11,841 units in January 2026.
Mahindra XUV 7XO – This new car launched recently also did wonders and occupied the fourth position with sales of 10,133 units. This shows how much people are liking this car.
Toyota Innova (Innova Crysta & Hycross) – Innova sold 9,455 units in January 2026. However, there has been a slight decline of 3% in its sales compared to last year, when 9,780 vehicles were sold.

Renault Triber – This budget 7-seater car surprised everyone. There was a huge increase of 72% in its sales and 2,509 units were sold. However, this car remained at ninth position in terms of sales.
Tata Safari – Tata Safari also showed good growth of 53%. Due to its recently launched petrol version, customers are getting more attracted towards it. Its sales in January 2026 were 2,375 units.
