Meanwhile, the portal was reopened to make corrections in e-KYC of Ladki Bahin Yojana, but the problems of women are not ending. The portal has been opened till March 31, 2026 to correct mistakes in e-KYC. But neither the portal is working properly nor any help is available from the helpline.

When we talked to beneficiary Sarita of Paud village in Pune district, she said, ‘I have not received money for the last 4 months. I was told that eKYC is incomplete. Now the portal has opened, but I am not able to log in. This problem is not only of Sarita but of many other women. On the condition of anonymity, another woman said that the money has not been received for two months. He says that the government should appoint officers at the district level so that this problem can be solved.

Verification by Anganwadi workers also stopped

The online portal of Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is not opening and the problem has increased because the physical verification which Anganwadi workers were doing has also stopped. The field staff is protesting due to increasing workload. In such a situation, the only option left for the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is the portal.

Date for improvement in Ladki Bahin Yojana eKYC extended

Last week, Maharashtra Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare had posted that the department has received complaints that beneficiaries are not getting the money because wrong options have been selected in their eKYC process. In such a situation, giving another chance to such beneficiaries, a portal has been opened for improvement in eKYC. Beneficiary women can make corrections in their eKYC till 31st March.

When will the January-February installment of Ladki Bahin Yojana come?

Women and Child Development Department says that our main goal is to ensure that all eligible women can get the benefits of the scheme. Officials said that due to Model Code of Conduct, the January and February installments of Ladki Bahin Yojana are stuck. Maharashtra’s budget is to come next month and women are worried whether the Ladki Bahin scheme will be closed? However, recently Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has given a statement that soon the amount of Ladki Bahin Yojana will be increased from Rs 1500 to Rs 2100. This claim has been made at a time when the state government is already burdened with debt due to welfare schemes.

What will happen if eKYC is not improved by 31st March?

Officials say that the process of improvement in eKYC will continue till March 31. Those women who will not be able to complete this process, their verification will be done later. Actually, due to wrong answer to a question in eKYC, 24 lakh beneficiaries were shown as government employees. The result was that the amount of Rs 1500 received every month stopped.
