What did NTA say in the advisory?

Aadhaar should contain the correct name, date of birth, photograph and address of the candidate. While filling the online form, candidates will have to click and submit a live photo as per the advisory.

NTA’s new rules for NEET registration
- Aadhaar-based eKYC is now required for identity verification.
- While submitting the online form, candidates will have to click and submit a live photograph as mentioned in the advisory.
- NTA has said that if the live photo does not match with the Aadhaar photo then they should provide a valid supporting certificate.
- The city of examination and medium of examination will be based on the state of present and permanent address given by the applicant in the application form.
Online Application Process for NEET UG 2026
- First of all go to the official website of NTA nta.ac.in
- Select the NEET UG 2026 registration link visible on the home page
- A new page will open, in which candidates will have to fill their registration information.
- After completing the registration, fill the application form carefully.
- Check the form carefully so that there is no mistake in the application.
- Pay the application fee.
- Click on Submit button and download the confirmation page for future reference.
NEET exam will be held on 3 May 2026
NEET UG 2026 exam will be held on May 3, 2026 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Its total duration will be 180 minutes (3 hours). The exam center information will be given on the admit card, while city information, other important dates like downloading of admit card and declaration of result will be announced later on nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in.
