Basit Ali made fun of Babar

Former cricketer Basit Ali made a scathing attack on Babar Azam during a TV show. He said that Babar is fine in ODI and Test, but he is not fit for T20. Basit also raised questions on the team management as to why Babar is not able to talk about his correct batting position. He clearly said that many other players in the team are better T20 batsmen than Babar. Basit Ali said during the show, ‘If you call Babar Azam a superstar in ODI or Test, then I can agree. But in T20? Where is he a superstar from? A batsman who leaves his regular position and comes to number 4 and cannot even tell the management that he is not a number 4 player! Doesn’t Babar know this? Players like Shadab, Usman Khan, Nawaz and Faheem are better T20 players than Babar.

Babar Azam will be dropped

Clouds of trouble are looming over Babar’s T20 career because captain Salman Ali Aga has already said that any player can be dropped for the team combination. Even in the Big Bash League, Steve Smith had refused to give him strike, which Basit Ali called a proof of Babar’s weak T20 game. Now everyone’s eyes are on the next match against America whether Babar will be a part of the playing eleven or not.
