Due to affected visibility, brakes were applied on the speed of vehicles. The spray along with the fog disturbed the passersby. Dense fog remained till nine in the morning.
Earlier on Tuesday also there was dense fog. After the fog cleared, it remained cloudy. The day was sunny, but due to cold wind the maximum temperature dropped. People appeared worried due to excessive melting. The Meteorological Department had predicted fog or mist this morning.
Recorded drop in maximum temperature
Earlier, there was a change in the weather in the city on Monday night. Fog had started falling at 10 pm itself. As the night deepened the fog also increased. Visibility was zero at the Air Force station and 30 meters at the Taj Mahal. Due to this, vehicles were seen crawling on the roads.
Clouds covered the city in the morning, sunshine in the afternoon
Earlier, the Taj Mahal was hidden in fog till 10 am on Tuesday. After this the fog cleared, but clouds remained. The sun appeared after 12:30 pm, but soon the clouds gathered. Around 2:30 pm the clouds cleared and the sun came out. The sunlight remained ineffective due to the continuous cold wind.

The maximum temperature was 17.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 11.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was 5.3 degrees Celsius below normal and the minimum temperature was 1.6 degrees Celsius above normal. On Monday, the maximum temperature was 20.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 11.1 degrees Celsius.
