Yogi government direct recruitment on reserved civil police and equivalent posts-2025 (UP Police Constable Exam Date) The dates of the written examination to be held under have been announced. According to the information released by Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) on Tuesday, the written examination of Constable Recruitment-2025 will be conducted on June 8 (Monday), June 9 (Tuesday) and June 10 (Wednesday). This examination will be conducted in two shifts on all three days. A total of 32,679 posts will be filled through this recruitment process. Other information related to constable recruitment examination, examination centre, admit card and guidelines will be released on the official website of Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.
Yogi government’s decision will be a big relief for the candidates
It is noteworthy that the Yogi Adityanath government has given a big relief to lakhs of youth preparing for police recruitment in Uttar Pradesh in the current constable recruitment process. Giving priority to the interests of the candidates, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, a lump sum relaxation of three years has been provided in the maximum age limit for the proposed direct recruitment-2025 for constable, civil police and equivalent posts in the police.
This decision was taken by the government in the light of Rule 3 of Uttar Pradesh Public Service (Relaxation of Age Limit for Recruitment) Rules-1992. This decision was implemented through the Government Order issued on January 5, 2026, in continuation of the recruitment release issued on December 31, 2025, paving the way for a large number of candidates who were till now left out of the recruitment process due to age limit.
It is noteworthy that Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board had recruited a total of 60,244 constable posts in the state in the year 2024. This was the biggest recruitment of the state government till date. Out of all the posts selected under the recruitment process, 20 percent of the posts have been reserved for women and they have been appointed.
