Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. The construction work of downline tunnel from Rawatpur to Double Pulia in the underground section of Corridor-2 of Kanpur Metro was completed on Monday.

Of the 8.60 km long track of Corridor-2, 4.10 km is underground. The construction work of the tunnel was being done downline from Gomti TBM and upline from Parvati TBM.

Let us tell you that Kanpur Metro had conducted a successful test run on the ‘up-line’ from Kanpur Central to Naubasta on 4th February. The test, which lasted for four hours under the leadership of Sushil Kumar, Managing Director of UP Metro Rail Corporation, involved a thorough inspection of the technical systems and stations.
