Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. SP spokesperson Manoj Yadav had left home on the evening of 12 February saying that he was going to a Tilak program. When he did not return till late evening, his wife Prabha lodged a missing complaint at Gomti Nagar extension police station on Friday morning. Investigation revealed that Barabanki police had arrested him in a case.

The wife told in the complaint that Manoj had gone from home in the evening by car saying that he was going to attend his cousin’s tilak and two other weddings in Kakori. When he did not return till late night, calls were made several times, but no response was received. When no one was found during the search, a missing person was lodged in the morning.

Inspector Sudhir Awasthi of Gomti Nagar extension police station said that when investigation was started after registering a missing person, information about his arrest was received in a case in Safdarganj, Barabanki. Today the police will present him in Barabanki court.
