Samvad Sutra, Sonauli (Maharajganj). A total of 50 military vehicles were handed over to Nepal Army by the Indian Army. These vehicles were sent to Nepal via Sonauli border. 20 ALS trucks of 7.5 tonne capacity and 30 trucks of 2.5 tonne capacity were handed over to Nepal Army. The transfer was completed around 1:50 pm on Sunday.
All the vehicles were escorted to the Nepal border by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel. The entire process was conducted systematically and in accordance with safety standards. On behalf of the Indian Army, Colonel Japendra Pal Singh and Major Arjun Chauhan and other officers and soldiers were present.
He completed the formalities of transfer of vehicles. Lieutenant Colonel Hari Prasad Bhattarai received the vehicles on behalf of Nepal Army. Coordination and cordial atmosphere was seen between the armies of both the countries.
The troops led by Assistant Commandant C. Vivek and Inspector (General) Prashant Kumar Singh from 22nd Corps Sashastra Seema Bal Maharajganj ensured smooth, safe and timely transfer of vehicles between India and Nepal Armed Forces. Senior officers and soldiers of Indian Army, Nepal Army and SSB were present on this occasion.
