Due to uncontrolled operation of e-rickshaws, there was a danger of traffic jams and accidents. After the implementation of the ban, traffic on Rampath in the Dham area has become easier, but this relief is limited to the Dham only.

Uncontrolled operation of e-rickshaws still continues in Ayodhya Cantt zone. After the ban in Dham, the number of e-rickshaws has increased on the routes of Cantt zone. There is a fear that the e-rickshaws operating unauthorized in the Dham have reached the Cantt zone. Due to this the traffic system in the cantonment zone is being affected.

Kakri Bazaar resident Ashish Gaur says that the number of e-rickshaws in the Cantt area has gone out of control, which is causing jams, parking problems and road safety problems.

The demand to organize the operation of e-rickshaws in the Cantt zone has been rising for a long time. Local people are demanding strict adherence to route determination, construction of designated parking spaces and operating rules.

Advocate Rajesh Maurya says that like Ayodhya Dham, there is a need to limit e-rickshaws to specific routes in the Cantt zone, create parking zones and issue guidelines for the drivers.

It is expected from the administration that soon a separate policy should be made for the Cantt area, so that the traffic system in both the areas can be balanced. If there is no similar restriction or regulation in the cantonment zone, then the problem will only be shifted.

The administration should make a unified policy for both the sectors, in which the interests of e-rickshaw drivers should also be kept in mind. This will strengthen the overall traffic system of Ayodhya and will provide relief to the devotees as well as the local people.
