Ganguly said Team India’s strategy was right

Ganguly said, ‘This is what T20 cricket is all about. You have to keep hitting. They are very good players and they have been doing this for a long time. This will definitely happen. He said, ‘There will be some matches which he will miss because he is also a human being. And when you hit all the time, you’re bound to miss.’ Ganguly said, ‘This is a very strong team. As the World Cup goes on, they will get better because once you start playing in tournaments, the rhythm comes. I consider India to be a strong contender and it will be very difficult to defeat them.

Suryakumar Yadav also praised

Ganguly praised captain Suryakumar Yadav, calling him a proven match-winner who has the ability to single-handedly change the course of a match on any given day. He said, ‘He has come into this tournament having scored a lot of runs against New Zealand. He is a champion T20 player. The way he hits the ball to different parts of the field is incredible. He said, ‘This is a team where any player can perform well on any day. Like I said, all of them can change the course of the match.

India played against America without fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who did not play due to stomach upset. But former Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan said the team showed its depth by responding effectively to the challenge. Zaheer said, ‘Bumrah not being there was definitely a matter of concern which everyone would be thinking about. But (Mohammad) Siraj performed well. It was important as a team. Because a player who was not part of the team got a chance and performed brilliantly.
