Shri Ram Katha: On the seventh day of Shri Ram Katha held at Gujarat Lok Bhavan, Gandhinagar, the legendary storyteller Acharya Kuldeepji Maharaj gave an emotional description of Shri Ram’s exile, visit to sages’ ashrams, Sita Haran and Jatayu’s sacrifice.

The Acharya said, after handing over Charan Paduka to Bharata and sending him to Ayodhya, Sri Rama proceeded south. In the forest, Sri Rama lived according to the ideals mentioned in the Vedas. His life is a living example of the teachings of the Vedas.

In Atri Rishi’s ashram, Sati Anusuyaji taught Mata Sita about pativrata dharma and said that patience, duty, friend and spouse – these four can be tested not in times of happiness, but only in times of calamity. Sri Rama visited the ashrams of the sages and for the fearlessness of the sages he resolved to rid the place of demons.

Explaining the event of Shurpanakha as a symbol of disorder, the Acharya said that a person who brings disorder in the path of divine man and truth, his degradation is certain. Lakshmana’s cutting of Shurpanakha’s nose and ears symbolizes the destruction of ego and ego. Jatayu’s amazing adventure and heroism at the time of Mother Sita’s Haran is a supreme example of duty. When one follows the path of dharma and fulfills one’s duty, one attains the presence of God, the best example of which is Jata.

The atmosphere of the Lok Bhavan became devotional with these ironic scenes from the Ramayana and the sound of bhajan-kirtan. The audience was shocked to hear this story.

At the beginning of the program, Governor Acharya Devvrat, Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani, Minister of State for Health Praful Panseria and MP Devusinh Chauhan lighted the lamp and honored Acharya Kuldeepji Maharaj with Fulhar. Lady Governor Darshana Deviji, former minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, former minister and chairman of Gujarat Veda Prachar Prasar Samiti Khumansingh Vansia, invited guests, Lok Bhavan family and townspeople were present and narrated the story.
