Gujarat is holding NEET-UG re-exam for 79,411 students today on June 21, with an ironclad presence including CISF and drones to prevent paper leaks.
Re-NEET Exam 2026: After the paper leak of the NEET-UG exam held in May, the Re-NEET 2026 exam is going to be held again today, June 21, Sunday across Gujarat. This time an ‘ironclad arrangement’ has been arranged by the administration to prevent any malpractice in the examination. The future of a total of 79,411 students in Gujarat depends on this important exam today.
For the first time, CISF has been entrusted with the responsibility of handling and security of question papers. Also, the railway and ST department has made arrangements so that the students do not face any difficulty in reaching the examination center.
More than 79 thousand students from the state will give the exam
Students will appear from major cities of Gujarat. More than 10 thousand students will give the exam at 23 centers in Ahmedabad. More than 10,000 students will appear in 22 centers in Surat, 6,048 students in 17 centers in Vadodara, 5,330 students in 12 centers in Rajkot. Thus, 79,411 students will give the exam at 211 centers in Gujarat
Exam Time and Rules issued by NTA
It is imperative that students arrive on time as per the official time table announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- Exam Time: 02:00 PM to 05:15 PM.
- Time of reporting and entry: Students will have access to the center only from 11:00 am to 01:30 pm.
Students must arrive on time. Entry inside the center will not be granted under any circumstances after 01:30 PM, so arriving on time is imperative.
NEET-UG 2026 Paper Pattern
The re-exam to be conducted today will carry a total of 720 marks, with 180 questions of multiple choice (MCQ) type:
- Biology: 90 Questions (360 Marks)
- Physics: 45 Questions (180 Marks)
- Chemistry: 45 Questions (180 Marks)
- Negative Marking System: +4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, while marks (-1) will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Tight Security System: Drone Cameras and Air Force Help
This time Gujarat Police and agencies are in action mode to prevent paper leak incident from happening again:
- Papers by Air in Rajkot: Papers have been airlifted to Rajkot by Air Force personnel with digital locks.
- Drone and CCTV Monitoring: All 23 centers in Ahmedabad will be monitored by the crime branch with drones. Live police will keep a watch on every movement from the control room.
- Cyber Crime Branch Alert: The cyber team is constantly monitoring to ensure that no rumor related to the exam is spread on social media.
- Vigilance Squad: A flying squad of Deputy Collector level officials will be deployed at each center to prevent malpractice during the examination.
Clarification on NTA dress code
The National Testing Agency has announced the dress code guidelines for the exam to be held today. In which he clarified that,
There is no restriction on students wearing hijab, paghji, sindoor, mangalsutra etc. But, all such candidates will have to reach the examination center a little earlier than the scheduled time for proper screening and security check.
Railway and ST special facility for students
Special arrangements have been made by the ST Department and the Railways to take into account the additional travel of the candidates appearing for the NEET-UG re-examination. In which Western Railway has decided to run three special trains.

Ahmedabad Police announced helpline number
To ensure that the students do not face any inconvenience in reaching the examination centre, special arrangements have been made. Exam centers will be monitored by drones. Also, special numbers have been announced for this.
