According to the statistics issued by the Gandhinagar-based State Emergency Operation Center, 45 talukas of the state received rain between 6 am and 10 pm today. Among which Barwala taluka of Botad district received the highest rainfall of 70 mm (2.7 inches).

Barwala city got rainy after 4 pm after the whole day. After which 3 inches of rain fell with thunder within 4 hours. Because of this, water was flowing like a river on the roads of the city. A wave of happiness was seen among the people as the weather became pleasant due to the rain.

Rain has been recorded in 9 taluks during 2 hours from 8 to 10 pm. Among them, 46 mm (1.8 inches) of rain has fallen in Mehsana’s Kadi and 27 mm (1.06 inches) in Gandhinagar’s Kalol. A torrential 65 mm (2.5 inches) of rain fell in Kadi in the last 4 hours, causing widespread flooding.
