Indigo Flight Emergency Landing: A heartbreaking incident took place on Monday evening in Indigo Airlines flight number 6E-7018 from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. However, the pilot also provided a fitting example of courage by using the timing indicator. In fact, panic broke out in the plane when a 3-year-old child on board the flight suddenly became unconscious, but the pilot’s prudence and Surat airport’s quick action saved the child’s life.
What happened?
At around 8:20 pm, the child’s health, named ‘Master Saurabh’, suddenly deteriorated while the flight was heading towards Mumbai. Two doctors on board the flight tried their best to give first aid to the child, but as the condition seemed critical, the pilot declared a medical emergency at the Surat airport without taking any risk.
Surat Airport becomes ‘Angel’
As soon as Surat Air Traffic Control (ATC) received the message, the airport system went into full alert mode. The CISF, medical team and ground staff coordinated the green corridor and immediately shifted the child to the ambulance as soon as the flight landed. After the child’s condition stabilized, he was admitted to a private hospital in the city, where he is currently under the care of doctors.
After the incident, the flight left for its scheduled journey to Mumbai. This quick operation of Surat airport has once again proved how important right decision is in times of crisis. The incident did not affect the schedule of other flights.
