Monsoon has reactivated in Gujarat with the activation of a system over the Arabian Sea and heavy rains are likely in the first week of July. However, 81 percent rainfall has been recorded in the month of June.

Because of this, the people who are crying out for unbearable heat and drought in Gujarat were waiting for the rain with a watchful eye. Under which the monsoon has been reactivated due to the upper air cyclonic circulation created in the Arabian Sea.
As the wind speed decreases, the intensity of rain will increase
In this regard, noted meteorologist Paresh Goswami said that till now the monsoon had stopped due to high wind speed and no strong system in the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. However, activity is currently being seen in the Arabian Sea as well as the Bay of Bengal. Due to which the eastern end of monsoon has reached Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir.

This season’s big system is going to form in the Bay of Bengal, which will pass over Gujarat through Odisha, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh. As a result, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in the state from July 5 to 12.

High waves are likely to rise in the sea for the next 5 days due to increasing current in the Arabian Sea. Therefore, fishermen have been advised not to plow the sea and tourists have been advised to stay away from the beach.
An alarming decrease of 81 percent rainfall in the month of June
This year Gujarat has experienced a severe lack of rain in the month of June. If we look at the statistics, there has been such a decrease in the month of June than ever in the last 10 years. In June-2026, only 19 percent of rain has been recorded in Gujarat, so it can be said that 81 percent of rain is lacking. Even in this, only 17 percent of the state has received rain, while 83 percent of the areas are still dry. The total rainfall this year is likely to be around 90 to 92 percent, which is less than last year’s 109 percent.
