Manjitha police station made 38-year-old Prasannajeet, who reached Amritsar from Pakistan on Saturday, talk to his sister Sanghamitra and brother-in-law Rajesh Khobragade on video call on Sunday night. During this time the brother and sister became emotional.

Sanghamitra told that Prasannajeet recognized me as soon as he saw me. When asked who I am, the answer I got was – You are Didi, but your voice has changed. Sanghamitra asked- How did you go to Pakistan? On this Prasannajeet said- Don’t know, I had gone there by sitting in the train. Sister again asked how will you come home, then you said – by train, but I don’t have a ticket. Sanghamitra said that we are coming to take you soon.

Sanghamitra said that Prasannajeet’s mental balance seems fine after the conversation. He looks healthy. On inquiring about his well-being, the policemen even showed him behind the wheel, so that the relatives could be satisfied. Collector provided help: After hearing the news of Prasannajeet’s release, the entire family was eager for his return, but financial constraints were creating difficulties for the family.

Collector made arrangements for tickets

On this, Balaghat Collector Mrinal Meena made arrangements for the family to go to Amritsar. Along with booking the train tickets, the village secretary was instructed to go to Amritsar with his relatives. The team will leave in a day or two. According to Amritsar correspondent, Prasannajeet has been given shelter in the inn of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital till the arrival of the family.

Seven Indians were released on Saturday

Let us tell you that Pakistan had released seven Indian citizens on Saturday. Apart from Prasannajeet, six more citizens of Punjab are included in these. Father died while waiting for the box. Prasannajeet, from a farming family, was bright in studies since childhood.

His father Lopchand Rangari took a loan and got him to study BPharma in Khalsa College, Jabalpur, but in the year 2011, due to deteriorating mental condition, Prasannajeet started running away from home again and again. In 2012, he went missing and wandered to Pakistan. There the police imprisoned him in Lahore jail.

Father died two years ago

The father died two years ago in the hope of his son’s return. According to relatives, information about his imprisonment in Pakistan was received five years ago in 2021. After this, sister Sanghamitra even appealed to the Prime Minister’s Office for the release of Prasannajeet.
