The country’s budget for the year 2026-27 has been presented. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman created a new history on Sunday, February 1 and presented the budget in the Lok Sabha for the 9th consecutive time. This is the first time in the country’s budget history that the budget has been presented on a Sunday. There were expectations that the government could make a big announcement regarding big schemes like PM Kisan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana and PM Awas Yojana. But this did not happen. The Finance Minister has released the budget of 191 major schemes for the year 2026-27.

There has been no change in the budget of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Whereas the budget of PM Awas Yojana Urban has been reduced. Whereas the budget of PM Awas Yojana Gramin has increased. Recently, the government has passed a budget of more than Rs 95 thousand crore for MNREGA and Vikas Bharat Ji Ram Ji Yojana.
