In a hit and run incident on Limkheda-Dahod road in Dahod, three family brothers riding a bike collided with a pickup vehicle and died on the spot. After this incident, there has been outrage among the locals and there have been demands for security measures.
Dahod Accident: A hit and run incident has come to light near Vijay Hotel on Limkheda-Dahod road in Dahod district. In which a pick-up vehicle hit a bike, three youths died gruesomely on the spot.
According to the details received in this regard, three family brothers named Anil Devdha (21), Sanjay Devdha (18) and Ratan Devdha (18) living in Khirkhai village were going home on a bike after asking about the whereabouts of a relative admitted to Unity Bone Hospital in Limkheda. Meanwhile, a pick-up vehicle coming at full speed from the front near Vijay Hotel hit his bike.
The three youths who were knocked down in this accident died on the spot due to serious injuries. The special thing is that both Vikas, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital, and Sanjay, who lost his life in the accident, were cousins.
On the other hand, the pickup driver fled the scene with his vehicle after causing the accident. As soon as this incident was reported, crowds of people gathered around and a traffic jam-like situation was created on the highway.
Seeing the seriousness of the incident, Limkheda Mamlatdar Anil Vasava and the police convoy immediately reached the spot. The police have shifted the dead bodies for post-mortem and registered a case against the absconding pickup driver based on the complaint of Kanubhai Devdha and set the wheels of investigation in motion to nab him.
After this tragedy, there is a lot of outrage among the locals against the administrative system. According to local residents, a diversion has been provided due to the ongoing repair work of the bridge over the Limkheda Hadaf river, which has increased heavy vehicle traffic on the stretch. Locals have urgently demanded to put up sign boards and construct speed breakers at the dangerous curves to prevent such fatal accidents from occurring frequently. The death of three youths from the same family has left Khirkhai village in mourning.
