The government has extended the deadline for rectifying the mistakes made in e-KYC by women beneficiaries for the Ladki Bahin Yojana till March 31, 2026. The Women and Child Development Department of the State Government issued a government order on Friday and informed about extending the time limit for e-KYC. In view of the continuous complaints and demands received from the beneficiaries and regional offices, the department has decided to reopen the facility of online e-KYC correction.

Government investigation revealed that most of the women had completed e-KYC within the stipulated time limit of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana but their applications were stopped due to wrong information entered during verification. The government has appealed to the eligible women to check their information by logging into the portal within the prescribed time limit and if there is any error, get it corrected immediately, so that the benefits of the scheme can be availed without any hindrance.

Only women who complete the process by December 31st get a chance

The government has made it clear that the facility of improvement in e-KYC will be available only to those women who had completed the e-KYC process by December 31, 2025. New applicants will not be included in this. The Women and Child Development Department has also made necessary technical changes on the official portal of the scheme, so that beneficiary women can easily update their information. The department has also clarified that no correction of any kind will be accepted after March 31, 2026. Let us tell you that due to technical reasons or errors while entering information during the e-KYC process, many eligible women had inadvertently fallen into the category of ineligible.
