Entry of new player

He was present in Chennai at that time and was practicing with the Northern Knights team, which made it easy for him to integrate with the team immediately.
Ireland’s Director of High Performance Graeme West described the captain’s exit as a big loss for the team. He said in an official statement, ‘After the match against Australia, Paul Sterling was scanned which revealed that his injury is serious and he will not be able to play the tournament further. He will return home soon. In his place, Sam Topping has been included who was practicing with the Northern Knights team in Chennai.
