AMC has been activated for road safety during rainy season. 4 traffic marshals have been started at Panchvati-Panjarapol.
Ahmedabad Monsoon 2026: Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has taken up a new initiative to deploy traffic marshals to ensure road safety during monsoons and provide timely diversion and guidance to motorists regarding danger spots. Traffic marshals will be posted at various road works, diversions and accident-prone places during the rainy season to warn and guide motorists in advance.
As part of this initiative, a total of 4 traffic marshals have been deployed at the sites of ongoing road works in Panchvati and Panjarapol areas of the city. These traffic marshals will provide timely information to motorists about diversions ahead and help in smooth traffic management. As a result, motorists will not have to face sudden diversions and will also reduce disruption to traffic flow.

AMC will also deploy traffic marshals in other areas of the city as required in the coming days. Not only this, priority will be given to places where road repairs or other works are going on and pose a risk to motorists.
The objective of the corporation is not only to manage the traffic, but also to ensure the safety of citizens by reducing the likelihood of road accidents during the rainy season. The presence of traffic marshals will provide timely guidance to the motorists, thereby helping them to exercise caution at hazardous locations. This initiative by the AMC is expected to prove vital for road safety as it prioritizes the safety of citizens amid various infrastructure and road related operations in the city during monsoon.
