How to make your smartphone super smart
- Better Performance (CPU Efficiency): Generational garbage collection has been added to this. In simple words, it will make app loading smoother and reduce the load on the CPU, thereby saving battery.
- Dynamic Camera Sessions: Now it will be very easy to switch to video mode while taking photos. There will be no need to restart the app again and again.
- Smart Audio and VVC Video: The new Loudness API will better manage sound, and VVC coding will allow high-quality videos to be watched with less data usage.
- Special for large screens: If you use a foldable phone or tablet, Android 17 will now better optimize the full screen.
- Companion Device Manager (CDM): Added new profiles for medical devices and fitness trackers.
Canary program launched
Android 17 beta 1 marks a move away from the traditional developer preview model and toward the new Canary program. This means quicker access to features, faster stability updates and less need for manual flashing.
