Why did the candidates get angry in Bihar?
Actually, Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) had recently released the calendar of government recruitment examinations to be held in the state. Apart from the information related to 70th, 71st and 72nd exams, the schedule of exams till June-July 2026 has been given in the BPSC calendar. These include the exam dates of many recruitment examinations including Lower Division Clerk, Project Manager (Industry Department), Auditor, Panchayati Raj Department, Research Officer, Revenue Department, Assistant Public Prosecutor (APO), Assistant Professor (Physics), Lecturer, Assistant Forest Conservator, but there is no mention of the fourth phase of teacher recruitment (BPSC TRE 4). This sparked anger among the candidates who were waiting for TRE 4 Notification for a long time. Candidates upset with Nitish government’s attitude on TRE-4 teacher recruitment have now taken to the streets. Candidates say that the government is deliberately postponing teacher recruitment. He says that the government had earlier promised recruitment on more than one lakh posts. Later it came up to 1 lakh, then 90000, then 70 and 80 thousand, but now the number of posts has been reduced to a great extent. This is affecting those candidates who have been preparing for teacher recruitment for a long time. He is also afraid of aging.

The candidates have two main demands – increasing the number of teacher recruitment posts to 1.20 lakh, secondly – giving relaxation in the age limit of recruitment. Candidates say that Nitish government should issue the notification of BPAC TRE 4 as soon as possible. The number of vacancies should be at least 1 lakh 20 thousand. Apart from this, do justice to the candidates who may be left out due to age limit due to delay in issuing the notification and give relaxation in age limit.
BPSC TRE 4 announces 44000+ teacher recruitment
Nitish government has recently announced the recruitment of more than 44000 teachers in the fourth phase of teacher recruitment.
