Board Exam Tips: Want good marks in board exam? Subject expert told smart ways of preparation

Board Exam Tips in Hindi: The round of board examinations has started. Maharashtra State Board HSC (Class 12th) examinations have started. Under NBT’s ‘No Tension’ campaign, smart strategies are being shared for the students with the help of subject experts regarding the Economics subject examination to be held on 24th February. Proper time management and strong grasp of macroeconomics can get good marks in this subject.

Economics paper is of total 100 marks, which includes board exam of 80 marks and internal assessment of 20 marks. A total of six questions are asked in the paper and each question has its own strategy.

Which questions to solve first?

According to Shweta Jaslok Pandey, economics teacher of Kamaladevi College, students should first solve question number 1 and then the sixth question as soon as they get the paper. The first question is easy and scoring, while the sixth question is time consuming. Doing both at the beginning leaves enough time for the remaining questions.

The first question gives the easiest opportunity to score.

The first question is of 20 marks and is very easy. It consists of four sub-questions. Do not skip this question at all, because this sequence gives more marks in time. Paper second question is of 12 marks. It consists of two sub-questions for 6 marks. Rate question is also of 12 marks. Write 7-8 clear points in each answer, use headings and sub-headings. In the fourth question in the paper, five statements are given for 12 marks. Answers to three of these questions have to be written.

Table, diagram and passage give marks

The fifth question in the exam is based on presentation skills. In this, questions based on tables, figures, diagrams and passages are asked. It consists of three sub-questions of four marks each. Students have to write answers to any two of these questions.

The most important and decisive question

The last question of the paper demands the most thought and time. There are three questions of 8 marks each. In this, answers to any two questions have to be written in detail.

Time management is good in economics

The key is numbers. Completing the first question in 20-30 minutes helps maintain the pace of the entire paper.
