There is no formal education of 12 years i.e. 10+2 in Germany. The school education here is for 13 years. Because of this, when Indian students have to take admission, they first study for a year in a course called studienkolleg. However, if one has cleared JEE Advanced exam, he/she can get direct admission in German universities. Most German universities work on this system. In such a situation, before admission, Indian students should ask whether admission will be given on the basis of their JEE Advanced score or not. One good thing about Germany is that here no tuition fees have to be paid in government universities. Only a few hundred euros administration or semester fee has to be paid.
