The Indian stock market opened in the red on Friday. The 30-share Sensex fell 91.74 points, or 0.11 per cent, to 83,222.19 in early trade. Meanwhile, the 50-share Nifty fell 45.30 points or 0.18 percent to 25,597.50. Investors are waiting for the decisions of MPC. Last time interest rates were reduced by 0.25 points.
Condition of Sensex companies
Light buying was seen in Oil & Gas, Private Bank, Energy and Financial Services shares in the initial session. On the contrary, shares of IT, Pharma, Healthcare, Media, Auto, Consumer Durables, Metal and PSE sectors remained under pressure.
