A tense situation arose at the Mumbai airport on Friday morning when a plane of the country’s largest airline IndiGo suffered a technical glitch during landing. However, it is a matter of relief that due to the wisdom of the pilots, the plane was landed safely and there is no news of any loss of life or property. According to sources, the incident happened with IndiGo flight number 6E2157, which had more than 210 passengers on board. This aircraft was of A321 neo category.
There was a problem with the landing gear lever.
A problem with the aircraft’s landing gear lever surfaced during the critical phase of landing. Sources said the ‘automatic mode’ of the system was not working. Due to this technical flaw, the pilots had to use ‘manual mode’ so that the wheels of the aircraft could be opened safely and the landing could be done.
