In early trade, silver on MCX fell 4.23 percent to ₹2,51,500 per kg. At the same time, gold also became cheaper by 0.91% to ₹ 1,56,631 per 10 grams.
Condition of gold and silver in domestic market
Last day on Tuesday, the price of one kilogram of silver has decreased by Rs 7,500 in the bullion market. Silver price fell to Rs 2,64,500 per kg (including all taxes). At the same time, the price of gold of 99.9 percent purity has increased by Rs 2,200 or 1.4 percent to Rs 1,60,700 per 10 grams.
Price of gold and silver in international market
At the same time, some atmosphere was seen in the international market. After Tuesday’s decline, expectations of a possible interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve supported the market. During Asian trading on Wednesday, spot gold was seen trading with a slight rise at $ 5,065 an ounce, while spot silver saw a sharp rise and reached $ 81.32 an ounce, up 1.16%.
However, gold prices are still below their record levels. Gold is down about 11% from its all-time high of $5,608.35 an ounce made on January 29. At the same time, silver is still about 50% away from its record level of $ 121.67 an ounce.
