TVS Motor Company in first place
TVS Motor Company has become the king in the electric two-wheeler segment and in January 2026 also this company achieved the highest market share. TVS sold a total of 34,433 electric scooters last month, of which the iQube as well as the Orbiter models are prominent. The most interesting figure is that there is a gap of 8922 units between TVS Motor Company and Bajaj Auto, which is in second place.
Bajaj Auto at second place
Bajaj Auto stood second in the list of top 5 two-wheeler companies last January and 25,511 units of its Chetak electric scooter were sold. Recently Bajaj Auto launched an affordable model Chetak C25, which is good in looks-features and range. Last January, Bajaj Auto’s market share in the electric two-wheeler segment was 20.83 percent.
Ather Energy at number three
In January 2026, Ather Energy stood third in the list of top selling electric two-wheeler companies and sold 21,915 scooters. Last month, Ather Energy’s market share was around 18 percent. Along with Ather’s 450 series, the Rizta model is sold well.
Hero Vida achieved more than 10% market share
Hero MotoCorp’s popular brand Vida achieved 10.84 percent market share in the electric two-wheeler segment last January and a total of 13,273 electric scooters were sold. Hero Vida scooters come with good features and good range at an affordable price.
Ola Electric at last position in top 5
The first month of the year 2026, January, was not at all good for Ola Electric and its market share in January 2026 was the lowest in the last one year. Last month, Ola Electric sold only 7511 electric two-wheelers and the market share was only 6.13 percent. A year ago its market share was around 25 percent. Ola Electric sells S1 series scooters and Roadster series motorcycles.
