Many features including stunning road presence, excellent features make them different from other vehicles. Many car companies in India sell many models in the SUV segment. But, the question is whose car was sold more. The sales report of SUV vehicles for January 2026 has arrived. Let us tell you who are the top 10 best selling SUVs in January 2026.

According to the data, a total of 1,57,416 SUV cars were sold in January 2026. This is 28 percent more than the 1,22,513 vehicles sold last year in January 2025. This year, 34,903 vehicles have been sold more, which shows that people are increasingly inclined towards SUVs.

Best selling SUV

1.Tata Nexon- A total of 23,365 units of Nexon were sold in January 2026 and it topped the sales chart. There has been an increase of 51 percent in its sales as compared to last year, when 15,397 people had bought it. Its market share was 14 percent.

2. Tata Punch – Tata Punch stood second with sales of 19,257 units. Compared to last year, its sales grew by 18 percent and its market share was 12 percent.

3. Hyundai Creta – Creta was the third best selling SUV. It recorded sales of 17,921 units. However, its sales have declined by 3 percent compared to last year. Its market share was 11 percent.

4. Maruti Suzuki Brezza – Brezza stood fourth with sales of 17,486 units. It lagged behind Creta by a small margin. Its sales increased by 18 percent compared to last year and its share in total sales was 11 percent.

5. Mahindra Scorpio – Scorpio, which is much liked in the SUV segment, is at fifth position with sales of 15,542 units. There was a slight improvement of 0.65 percent in its sales from last year and its share in total sales was 9 percent.

6. Maruti Suzuki Victoris – In January 2026, Victoris is at sixth position with sales of 15,240 units. Its share in total sales was 9 percent.

7. Maruti Suzuki Frontex – Talking about Franks, its 13,353 units were sold in the month of January. However, its sales have declined by 12% compared to last year and its share in total sales was 8%.

8. Hyundai Venue – Hyundai Venue was purchased by 12,413 customers in January 2026. Its sales have increased by 11 percent since last year and its share in total sales was 7 percent.

9. Mahindra Bolero – Mahindra Bolero is at ninth position with sales of 11,841 units in January 2026. Compared with January 2025, its sales have increased by 36 percent and its market share was 7 percent.

10.Kia Sonet- A total of 10,998 people purchased Sonet in the month of January. Its sales have increased by 52 percent since last year and its share in total sales was 6 percent.
