Germany’s famous car company Volkswagen is preparing to introduce its most popular cars Taigun and Virtus in a new look in India. The company has confirmed that the updated version of both these cars i.e. facelift model will be launched soon. Many changes will be made in the new model to attract customers. However, people will have to wait for ADAS. Let us tell you what new will be seen in the facelift models of both the cars.

New Volkswagen Taigun (Taigun Facelift)

The changes in the Taigun will be very similar to the recently updated Skoda Kushaq.

External look – A few changes will be made in its exterior design so that it looks more modern and new than before.

Premium Interior – Better quality material will be used inside the cabin of the car, which will make the cabin look even more luxurious. Also the finishing will also be very good.

Engine and Gearbox

Like before, it will continue to be available with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engines. However, the company is considering offering a new 8-speed automatic gearbox. It will get features similar to Skoda Kushaq. However, it is expected that this time also it may not get ADAS or 360-degree camera for safety.

New Volkswagen Virtus (Virtus Facelift)

The new model of the Virtus sedan is expected to arrive by the end of this year.

large screen – It can get a new and bigger touchscreen infotainment system, which will have better connectivity features.

Same mechanical update – Like Taigun, Virtus can also be given an 8-speed automatic gearbox, which will make driving even smoother.

Will have to wait for ADAS

Many people are waiting for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) in these cars, but the company has a slightly different plan. Volkswagen is working on bringing ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology to its affordable cars, but it will happen gradually.

First among expensive cars – Volkswagen will first offer ADAS in its premium cars like Tiguan R-Line and Golf GTI. After this, they will be brought in models like Taigun and Virtus.

Waiting for Taigun and Virtus – ADAS features in both these cars are likely to be available in their next-gen models, which will arrive after 2027.

Cars coming to India this year (2026)

Volkswagen is going to launch many vehicles in India this year. These include the Tayron R-Line, standard Tayron, facelifted models of Taigun and Virtus and the second batch of Golf GTI (sports car).
